Among efforts to negotiate the subject of reduction in the ratio of luxury tariff and the accumulation of goods in ports and the resulting recession, unemployment and high prices
Mr. President of the Iraqi Assembly met with his delegation and a number of traders from various jurisdictions, Mr. Chairman of the Board of Advisers, Dr. Abdul Karim, a number of counsellors, and Mr. Director-General of Marks, where import tariffs were explained by traders and former Kerqi tariff prices, which were not commensurate with the large increase in those fees and the consequential effect of the increase in Kerk fees on the Iraqi market, which would lead to a marked increase in price inflation.
The traders have made it clear that they are with the quantum and tax tariff but at reasonable rates and prices to study for the public and private benefit of the Government and the citizen.
For his part, Mr. Chairman of the Chancellor ' s Office expressed his understanding of the obstacles and made recommendations to Mr. Prime Minister Chan for a decision leading to the resolution of those problems and obstacles.
