Apple opens the door to the Apple Arcad TV test.
Abel began an exclusive internal test for its employees, allowing them early access to the Apple Arcade Broadcasting Service, which allowed for a preliminary look at the service and the games to come.
In exchange for a monthly contribution of $0.49 with a free trial month, Abel staff received the opportunity to experience the games available in Abel Arked, including: Way of the Turtle, Down in Bermuda, Hot Lava, Sneaky Sasquatch, Frogger in Toy Town and other games.
To date, more than US$ 500 million has been invested in the Apple Arcad service announced on 25 March, which is scheduled to start next mid-September with more than 100 games and 150 countries.
Abel, by giving its staff the opportunity to test Apple Arcad, aims to obtain retrospective recharges of value that contribute to the improvement of service before being released to the general users, as well as to detect and repair any gaps in the service itself.
The description of the games currently available in the inner testing of the Games broadcasting service shows that they are still at the stage of development, so their testing will also give the companies of the toy industry, such as Konami, SEGA and LEGO, the opportunity to detect errors and gaps in order to repair them before the final launch.
It is indicated that there will be no advertisements or internal purchases in any of the Apple Arked Games. All available content in service will be downloadable for monthly contribution. This is not yet known as the price to be paid by ordinary consumers for subscription.
Abel had described the service last March as “an innovative way to reach a whole range of new games that would not be available on any other mobile telephone platform or any other subscription service”. Instead of paying in advance for each game, participation in the service will give players the opportunity to experience any game in service without risk.
The company then explained that each game could be operated without Internet access, and many games would provide support to the game controllers, and since participants could play Apple Arcad games on iPhone, iPad, Mac and AppleTV, it would be possible to continue to play where they stopped, even when equipment was switched. New toys will be added to service on an ongoing basis.
